Position Summary :
The Process Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support for all aspects to ensure functionality, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction.
Team Overview and Job Responsibilities

- Responsible for understanding and performing all tasks and responsibilities according to the specific Job Safety Practices (JSP) established for this job.
\n
Responsible for safety and housekeeping procedures and for maintaining a safe and clean work environment.\n
Responsible for adhering to all Prysmian health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations, including our hazardous waste handling if designated and trained to do so.\n
Assists and coordinates with management in the development of capital equipment requirements and budgets\n
Designs and / or designates tooling and equipment to support new and existing product in all areas of the plant\n
Analyze complex customer issues by using statistical tools\n
Design of experiment on materials and processes to assist the facility to improve and reduce product costs\n
Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities, designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment\n
Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records. Program focus should be on D / PFMEA analysis and system automation\n
Writes appropriation requests for tooling, equipment, and systems\n
Directs the installation and debugging of departmental equipment and systems\n
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods\n
Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency\n
Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods\n
Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, material, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards\n
Provides hands-on assistance to maintenance and other engineering personnel in the analysis of mechanical and electronic problems\n
Responsible for initiating corrective actions to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities, identifying, and recording problems relating to product quality, processes, and quality systems, as well as controlling further processing or delivery of nonconforming product\n
Works with manufacturing on process techniques and process problem-solving\n
Maintain customer and vendor contacts for technical and state-of-the-art developments\n
Instructs and trains maintenance, supervision, and production in the proper techniques of running and maintaining manufacturing equipment. Writes procedures and work instructions accordingly.\n
Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.\n
Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, design inspection, and testing mechanisms and equipment, and develop new approaches consistent with company policies and procedures to solve problems identified\n
Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.\n
Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry standards related to the facility.\n
Responsible for adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.\n
Maintains a fundamental understanding of all equipment and processes, including the interpretation of electrical / mechanical schematics, electronic programs, software, procedures, costing, and government / industry standards.\n
Short notice international travel to address customer concerns\n
Perform external supplier audits\n \n

REQUIREMENTS : \n
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering discipline\n
A minimum of three years hands-on engineering experience in industry, preferred wire manufacturing\n
Experienced in CAD System, MS Office, automation controls, database programming\n
Experienced with SQL programming OSHA, EHS, TS16949 knowledge required\n
Must have Allen Bradley experience\n \n
Work Environment / Physical Demands :

Corrected vision to 20 / 20 being able to clearly see objects at long or short distances and be able to see details in small objects and read fine print\n
Occasional manual lifting up to 50 pounds\n
Able to react quickly to changing circumstances and move with safe speed and agility from one position or location to another\n
Wear all Personal Protective Equipment required for job duties and required tasks\n
Frequent tasks involving walking, standing, squatting and bending are required\n \n
