Job Description

Title : School Occupational Therapist (OT)

Location : Palo Alto, CA 94301

Pay Rate : $85 / hour

As a K-12 school-based Occupational Therapist in Palo Alto , CA , your days will include

  • Conduct assessments to identify students'fine motor, sensory, self-care, and adaptive skill needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans (IEPs / 504s) tailored to each student's specific goals and educational needs.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to recommend accommodations and strategies that support student participation and success.
  • Maintain detailed and timely documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, progress notes, and service logs.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, IEP meetings, and parent conferences.
  • Educate school personnel on the importance of sensory and motor development in the learning environment.
  • Stay updated on best practices and regulatory changes affecting occupational therapy services in educational settings.
  • Ensure compliance with district policies, state regulations, and federal laws such as IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).

Job Details

  • Position : Contract (option to renew) in a school setting
  • Hours : Full-time (Monday - Friday)
  • Caseload : Elementary, Middle, and High School options

    • Successful Candidates Possess

  • Masters and / or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
  • An active or pending state licensure, or the ability to obtain (required)
  • Experience in a pediatric or school setting (preferred)
  • The ability to work in the U.S. Without a sponsor
