Position Summary :
Cross Construction is a leader in the construction and installation of high-end architectural finishes. In this role, you will be instrumental in executing both commercial and residential projects, focusing on the installation of specialty resin and glass products. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and are committed to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Receive and inspect materials on-site or from suppliers, ensuring all items are undamaged and complete for each project.
- Collaborate with the installation team to strategize and plan the installation process.
- Transport materials from staging areas to work locations, ensuring their security and integrity prior to installation.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment throughout the project duration.
- Periodically assess project progression with the team to ensure alignment with goals and timelines.
- Operate construction equipment such as aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts as authorized by management.
- Engage with peers, managers, and executives regularly through various communication channels to coordinate work schedules and resource allocation.
- Interact with customers and suppliers to maintain project flow and meet project requirements.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required; additional certification in related fields is advantageous.1-3 years of experience in construction or installation, preferably with exposure to high-end materials.Proficiency in operating heavy machinery with a strong emphasis on safety.Ability to physically handle demands of the job including lifting up to 100 lbs multiple times in one day.Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.Capable of traveling throughout the US as needed.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Walking (30% of time) : Frequent movement around construction sites.Standing (15% of time) : Continuous on-site work in various phases of construction.Lifting (20% of time) : Regular lifting of materials up to 100 lbs.Climbing (10% of time) : Use of ladders and other equipment to access work areas.Pulling / Pushing (20% of time) : Manipulation of materials and equipment as part of installation processes.Cramped or Confined Spaces (1% of time) : Occasionally working in restricted areas.Sitting (4% of time) : Limited to vehicle operation and breaks.Benefits :
