Active RN license, BLS and ALS certification, NIH Stroke Certification (completed during orientation)

Unit Summary

We are a 19 private bed unit with bedside monitoring in every room with modern equipment, EKG available at the bedside. Computers inside and outside each room for convenient access to charting. Unit dedicated case manager, critical care educator, and clinical support resource nurse. We are a unit best known for our teamwork and accountability. All our staff work at the top of their scope to ensure the best, quality care for our patients.

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak is equipped with the most modern technology available. With over 280 beds, services include emergency care, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, neonatology, oncology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and acute rehab services.

The stroke rehabilitation program has received the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval® for Disease-Specific Care Certification of Stroke Rehabilitation.
