As a Licensed Water Operator II, you will be part of a collaborative team ensuring uninterrupted service delivery. You will report to the Water Plant Operations Supervisor and oversee Water Plant Operators I, Operators, and Operators-in-Training. Your responsibilities include participating in the operation of water treatment plants and wells, training new employees, assessing staff performance, and teaching best practices for treatment and sampling techniques.
You will perform inspections of water treatment facilities and well systems, monitoring operations through gauges, dials, and other instrumentation. Your role will involve operating and adjusting treatment plant pumps, motors, and feeders to ensure optimal performance. You will also monitor and adjust water chemistry, including chlorine and pH levels, to maintain quality standards.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining operational logs, documenting chemical usage, and reporting equipment needs to your supervisor. You will collect water samples and conduct routine quality tests, ensuring adherence to safety practices among the plant personnel.
Other duties will involve reporting machinery repair needs, assisting with general facility maintenance, and addressing customer inquiries about water quality. Moreover, you will keep updated on regulations related to water treatment and quality to ensure compliance.

3+ years of experience in water purification and treatment duties.
Valid Class A Water Works Certificate is required.
Must possess a valid driver's license free of major infractions.
