Build the Future of Packaging Machinery - and the Next Generation of Engineers

Are you a mechanical engineer with a passion for designing complex machinery and guiding others to do the same? At Pregis, we're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge packaging equipment.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role within our New Product Development (NPD) team, where you'll take early-stage concepts and turn them into scalable, manufacturable solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and electrical disciplines - and play a key role in shaping both our technology and our talent.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design, prototyping, and launch of advanced packaging machinery using SolidWorks and ePDM
• Own the full mechanical lifecycle : concept, CAD modeling, BOM creation, testing, and field validation
• Collaborate with electrical engineers on system integration, motor / sensor selection, and sequencing
• Present and release design documentation for stakeholder review and production readiness
• Support beta deployments and troubleshoot real-world performance issues
• Analyze field feedback, competitive equipment, and emerging technologies to drive innovation
• Engage directly with customers to uncover pain points and translate them into design opportunities

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis' total compensation package. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $130,000 to $150,000.
