Connected Health Care is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work in a New Haven, CT. This position offers an opportunity to help students build essential academic and social skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
Provide targeted instruction in math, reading, and writing for students with IEPs and learning disabilities.
Modify and differentiate the general education curriculum to ensure accessibility for students with diverse needs.
Implement individualized behavior and classroom management plans.
Work closely with paraprofessionals and support staff to ensure students receive the best possible support.
Use data-driven teaching strategies to assess and improve student progress.
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with general education teachers and parents to advocate for student needs.
Utilize technology and hands-on activities to keep students engaged in learning.
Connecticut Special Education Teacher Certification required.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
Experience working with students and mild-to-moderate disabilities.
Knowledge of IEP writing, accommodations, and progress monitoring.
Ability to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
