Responsibilities
Ensures the local Reasonable Accommodations (RA) Program meets OPM and EEOC requirements across DISA. Develops employment statistics using computerized databases. Analyzes employment practices to determine barriers to full reasonable accommodation of affected groups. Reviews RAs and reports on organizational affirmative employment to implement reasonable accommodation policies to the appropriate authorities. Facilitates the processing of all accommodation requests for reasonable accommodation as outlined in the Agency's Reasonable Accommodation Policy. Represents the Agency at meetings of advocacy organizations at local, regional, and national levels.
Requirements
Conditions of Employment :
- Time-in-grade : For entry at the GS-12 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
- Specialized Experience : For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as : providing recommendations on ensuring an agency's reasonable accommodation (RA) program meets the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) requirements, OR managing accommodation requests in accordance with an agency's RA policies.
Education : There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level.
