Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Richardson, Texas. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be skilled in corporate tax, sales tax, and maintaining general ledger entries.

Responsibilities :

• Verify the accuracy of figures, postings, and documents to maintain precise financial records.
• Utilize accounting software to input, store, and analyze financial data efficiently.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and organizational policies and regulations.
• Manage accounts by debiting, crediting, and totaling them using specialized software and spreadsheets.
• Organize and summarize financial data through journals, ledgers, or computerized systems.
• Assign appropriate codes to financial documents in line with company procedures.
• Identify, reconcile, and report any discrepancies found in financial records.
• Execute financial calculations such as interest charges, due amounts, balances, discounts, and equity. Requirements - Proficiency in corporate tax, including preparation and analysis.
• Experience with sales tax calculations and reporting.
• Strong knowledge in corporate tax returns and associated processes.
• Ability to create accurate journal entries and maintain financial records.
• Familiarity with general ledger management and reconciliation.
• Expertise in using accounting tools and software for complex financial operations.
• Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.
