Description

If so, you may be a good fit for a Staff Nurse position in the Cardiac ICU. The Cardiac ICU is a patient and family-centered 16-bed adult unit serving critically ill cardiac ICU patients. The most common diagnoses and/or interventions are hemodynamic monitoring, intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation, ventricular assist devices, ECMO, CVVH, hypothermia after cardiac arrest, recovery from coronary procedures, including percutaneous aortic and mitral valve replacement, recovery from cardiac surgery including heart transplant, recovery from acute myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, respiratory failure and/or multiple organ dysfunction/failure. A multi-disciplinary team approach is focused on the psychosocial and emotional support of the patients and their families.
This is a day-night rotating 36-hour position with weekend and holiday requirements.
