Essential Job Duties :

Primary purpose of the position : Job Coaches support students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) enrolled in Elevate, NC State University’s Inclusive Postsecondary Education Program. Job Coaches provide individualized support to students in either on-campus or off-campus internship and employment settings, fostering skill development, independence, and successful integration into the workplace. This role involves collaborating with employers, Elevate staff, and Elevate students to support meaningful and inclusive employment experiences.

Working Conditions

• Position involves work on NC State’s campus as well as community employment sites.
• Some evening or weekend hours may be required depending on student job schedules.
• Moderate physical activity may be involved (e.g., walking across campus, assisting with certain workplace tasks as needed).
