Senior Graduate Engineer, Traffic

WSB a full-service multi-disciplinary transportation engineering firm is hiring for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our rapidly expanding team in our Orlando office as a Graduate Traffic Engineer. As a Traffic Engineer you will be involved in a variety of tasks related to transportation planning and traffic engineering. We are looking for an entry level engineering candidate with a passion for traffic engineering and the application of innovation and technology in transportation. Recent graduates or graduating students will be considered. This position will work under the supervision of highly skilled and experienced staff in an integrated environment with the other disciplines. Training and mentoring will be provided in conjunction with assignments. This provides a unique opportunity for growth and acquiring well-rounded and comprehensive skills.

What You will Do :

Traffic analysis using industry standard traffic engineering software tools (VISSIM / Synchro / HCS / HSS / IHSDM etc.) to model and simulate traffic flow and congestion

Traffic design using Bentley AutoCAD design software

Traffic safety analysis

Traffic data review and design traffic development

Data and information compilation and report writing

What you will Bring :

Graduation from an accredited university with a bachelor or higher degree in civil engineering transportation engineering or other related field of study.

The exceptional candidate will demonstrate :

Strong academic performance and achievements

Knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices

A record of successful internships or other work history

Experience or familiarity using traffic analysis software

Experience or familiarity using Bently and / or AutoCAD design software

Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a condition of employment and must be achieved at the time of hire or within six (6) months of the start date to maintain employment.

A positive attitude and strong teamwork ethics

Enthusiasm for learning and a desire to grow professionally in the field of traffic engineering.

2 years of Traffic Design in Florida is required.
