Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mentor and support the development of less experienced designers
- Perform plan and profile design for pipeline and site projects
- Conduct baseline and design reviews for medium-complexity projects, including main installations and replacements
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of workspace requirements and construction feasibility
- Develop detailed cross-sections and profiles for design accuracy
- Create proposed alignments based on project specifications
- Exhibit expert-level proficiency in CAD software
- Utilize Civil 3D effectively for pipeline and site design projects
- Contribute to complex CRA (Critical Risk Assessment) projects
- Complete all assignments on time and within allowable hours
- Consistently demonstrate Company core values
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
- Drafting certification, degree, or equivalent relevant experience
- Expert-level proficiency in CAD software
- Prior experience working in the natural gas industry
- Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Comfortable understanding of Nicor Region Review Design Requirements
- Familiarity with pipe specifications and design limitations
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment
- Skills in training and developing team members
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
