ASRC Federal Gulf States Constructors is seeking a Technical Instructor - EM Specialist to support activities under the Sheppard Air Force Base contract in Wichita Falls, Texas
Overview
Performs contingency and disaster response for major accidents and natural disasters that occur within
the installation’s defined area of responsibility (AOR) and as required by higher HQ. Execute and assist in
the training and education of people and protection of assets before, during, and after disasters, major
accidents, civil emergencies, humanitarian operations, terrorist events, or hostile action. Provides,
develops, and reviews EM planning documents. Provides instructional duties for any Emergency
Management (EM) related courses listed in PWS. Manages equipment accounts and performs required
logistical responsibilities related to response equipment.
1. Manages and maintains CBRNE, home station response, EM, communication and UTC
equipment. Determines equipment requirements and advocates for replenishment of
equipment items. Stores, maintains and conducts operational checks of assigned response
equipment. Coordinates calibration schedule of all response equipment and maintains
equipment IAW manufacturers’ recommendations and published technical orders.
2. May be required to act as EOC Manager and/or perform Emergency Support Function-5
duties IAW current and applicable Air Force Instructions, Air Force Manuals (AFMAN), Air
Force Tactics, Techniques and Procedures, and Department of Defense guidance. Job requires
being on call for emergency responses, during and after normal duty hours.
3. Conducts any training classes as listed in the PWS, within the timeframes identified.
4. Train all unit EM representatives, Disaster Response Force personnel, and base populace to
support the installation EM Program IAW current and applicable AFls, AFTTPs, AFMANs, and
DoD guidance.
5. Review and coordinate installation emergency response plans.
6. Provide support to the Wing Inspection Team IAW current and applicable AFls, AFMANs and
DoD guidance to ensure EM capabilities are exercised.
7. Serve as the chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear (CBRN) and EM subject matter
experts to the installation's Threat Working Group, Anti-Terrorism Working Group

Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience
Must have a minimum of 4 years experience at a base level Emergency Management office.
Must hold USAF 3E9X1 Air Force Specialty Code
Possess or be able to obtain SECRET security clearance
Current possess or obtain certification within 6 months of hire:
