Join a leader in metal additive manufacturing serving the aerospace, defense, and space sectors. We're looking for a Process Engineer to refine and advance metal 3D printing processes from build setup to post-processing.
The Additive Manufacturing Process Engineer will play a critical role in advancing metal 3D printing processes, including machine functionality, build quality analysis, and continuous improvement of AM build strategies. Responsibilities include process control, improvements, and ensuring repeatability from print through post-processing. The role also involves providing training and support for AM technicians on proper equipment setup, teardown, and maintenance. This position requires a combination of hands-on AM expertise, leadership skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
What You'll Do :
- Act as process owner for metal additive manufacturing
- Support the commissioning and operation of additive manufacturing equipment
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, checklists, and safety protocols for additive manufacturing
- Responsible for establishing process flow to meet production rate and quality goals
- Track machine utilization and drive reductions in planned and unplanned downtime
- Develop and implement statistical process control into production processes to further improve reliability and reduce cost and lead time
- Optimize process parameters (laser, gas flow, thermal, powder spreading, etc.)
- Conduct post print review of hardware
- Provide AM process expertise to the Engineering team to help drive continuous improvement and successful AM build strategies.
- Train technicians to safely operate the AM equipment (set-ups, teardown, monitoring, etc.)
- Conduct root cause analysis on process deviations and defects
- Lead Continuous Process Improvement efforts to improve AM production flow

Qualifications :
3+ years in a similar role as a Process EngineerEngineering Degree requiredExperience working in a fast-paced environmentStrong understanding of AM equipment-especially EOS or SLM systems.Experience working within ISO AS9100 / ISO9000High attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills.Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required to support critical milestonesU.S. Person (ITAR-compliant) and ability to obtain / maintain a security clearance.Compensation : $100,000 - $160,000 DOE
