[job_card.job_description]Drive the adoption, deployment, and scaling of enterprise AI platforms (Azure AI Services, OpenAI integrations, Microsoft 365 Copilot). Partner with AI Governance teams to ensure responsible AI practices, compliance, and secure deployment frameworks. Evaluate third-party AI solutions, providing recommendations on cost, feasibility, and integration requirements. Understand how AI models interact with structured and unstructured data across systems such as : Snowflake data warehouse SharePoint repositories Workday, JD Edwards (ERP) Define data requirements, ingestion needs, and architecture pathways to support AI-powered solutions. Collaborate with senior business leaders to translate operational needs into AI-enabled solutions. Facilitate whiteboarding sessions, architectural discussions, and technical evaluations. Communicate complex AI concepts in clear, business-friendly language. Lead cross-functional conversations with R&D, Operations, Technical Services, and Customer Support teams. 10+ years of experience in data architecture, information architecture, enterprise architecture, or AI platform architecture. Strong experience evaluating or architecting solutions using : LLMs (large language models), GenAI platforms Azure AI / Azure OpenAI RAG frameworks, vector search, agent-based AI patterns (preferred) Strong understanding of enterprise data ecosystems : Snowflake, data lakes / warehouses SharePoint (unstructured documentation) ERP systems (Workday, JD Edwards) Experience integrating AI platforms with existing IT systems and business processes. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and present solutions to cross-functional teams. Background in healthcare, medical device, or other highly regulated industries is preferred but not required. Bachelors degree with 10+ years of experience OR Masters degree with 5+ years of experience. Experience with agentic AI architecture Exposure to Microsoft 365 Copilot deployments Understanding of domain-driven design Knowledge of AI governance frameworks or responsible AI practices Experience supporting clinical, operations, or technical service teams
About the Role
Swoon is partnering with a leading healthcare and medical device organization undergoing a large-scale transformation in Artificial Intelligence. We are seeking an AI Platform Engineer to evaluate enterprise-wide AI use cases, design scalable AI architectures, and drive the adoption of next-generation AI capabilities across multiple business units.
This is not a hands-on developer role instead, the architect will serve as the technical leader responsible for selecting AI tools, defining solution architectures, integrating AI platforms with existing enterprise systems, and guiding stakeholders on responsible, scalable AI adoption.
What Youll Do (Key Responsibilities)
AI Solution Design & Architecture
- Evaluate incoming AI use cases from teams such as Customer Service, Technical Service, R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial Operations.
- Recommend the appropriate AI approach including LLMs, Azure OpenAI services, AWS Bedrock, third-party tools, or custom solutions.
- Design high-level and detailed AI architectures that integrate with enterprise data ecosystems.
- Define model selection strategies, architecture patterns, and build-vs-buy recommendations.
