[job_card.job_description]Application support and enrollment - Identify MediCal-eligible patients and assist with California Medicaid enrollment Program knowledge : maintain program expertise, training requirements, and certifications for all application assistance services offered by Medi-Cal Will travel to various local hospitals (upwards of 100 miles a day some days) and facilities to ensure that hospitalized patients are signed up for the appropriate state benefits (MediCal) Experience working with people of a diverse set of backgrounds Transmit correspondence and medical records via mail, email, or fax Must be detail-oriented and comfortable understanding long complex applications Must be personable and a good communicator Will work closely with our Utilization Management department, San Diego County staff, and our facilities Program Manager Associate's or Bachelor's degree is required. Bilingual ability in Spanish preferred Authorized as an enrollment Assistor or willing to get authorized One year experience in a customer service setting such as health care, eligibility, and enrollment Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office
