Location : Gurnee, IL – Intermediate School (Grades 4–5)

Dates : ~January 26th – ~April 6th, 2026 (FMLA)

Schedule : 8 : 20 AM – 3 : 55 PM | Onsite, Full-Time

Compensation : $45 – $58 per hour (based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to provide maternity leave coverage at an Intermediate School serving 4th and 5th grade students. This role focuses on supporting students’ social-emotional growth, providing both direct and consultative services, and collaborating closely with teachers, staff, and families.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct services to students in general education and special education

Lead small groups and provide individual counseling

Support crisis intervention and case management

Participate in IEP meetings and team collaboration

Maintain documentation in compliance with district standards

Qualifications

Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Work endorsement

Prior school-based experience strongly preferred

Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
