Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager III to oversee multiple IT initiatives related to data management and analytics. The role involves planning, budgeting, overseeing, and documenting all aspects of assigned projects while ensuring compliance with state and federal standards.
The Project Manager will lead resource allocation, work planning, and scheduling for several initiatives that support enterprise-level data integration and reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead IT projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to scope and budget.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including charters, schedules, status reports, and risk logs.
- Oversee day-to-day project operations, manage sprints, and facilitate Agile ceremonies.
- Coordinate with multiple business units and IT teams to define project objectives and deliverables.
- Manage vendor relationships, procurement activities, and RFP creation for data management initiatives.
- Collaborate with analytics and reporting teams to ensure project alignment with enterprise goals.
- Track project budgets, monitor resource utilization, and report progress to leadership.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure quality project outcomes.
Required Skills and Experience
8+ years of IT project management experience.Strong background in data management , data analytics , or data integration projects.Experience managing projects through the full Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) .Proven success managing cross-functional and matrixed teams.Hands-on experience leading Agile projects, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.PMP Certification Active PMP required .Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the Healthcare or Public Health sector.Prior work managing multi-agency or multi-department IT initiatives.Experience working with access and eligibility programs.Background in the State of Texas IT or data environments.Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills in large-scale data projects.Additional Details
Work Hours : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM (excluding state holidays).Local Candidates Only : Applicants must already reside within the Austin, TX area.
