What is the Multiple Subject Teacher Residency Program?

Teacher residents will work in one of our elementary schools during school year with support from experienced BUSD mentor teachers. They will gain hands-on experience in lesson planning, classroom management, and student support.

BUSD's partnership with Saint Mary's College will combine a yearlong classroom apprenticeship with an aligned sequence of coursework. Teacher residents will earn a credential upon completion of the program.

This program is a collaboration between BUSD and St Mar's College. Therefore, you must apply to both Brentwood Union School District and St Mary's College to be eligible for this program. IF you have not done so already be sure to apply to St Mary's College using this link.
