Job Details:
Mercer University School of Medicine is searching for a non-tenure track Clinical Faculty position. Rank to be determined based on the credentials of the selected candidate. Full-time or part-time availability.Responsibilities:
Teaching: 60% of time
Participation in tutorial program for medical students
Mentor and advise students
Assists in the design, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based simulation learning experiences that promote the development of clinical reasoning and decision making.
Work with clinical, educational, and research faculty to design, implement, and evaluate educational curriculum in all aspects of undergraduate education
Clinical Duties: 40% of time
Clinical responsibility 2 days a week
Teaching and mentoring residents and/or students in a clinical setting.
Qualifications:
MD degree with residency
Board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Family Medicine, Ob/Gyn, Pediatrics, or Psychiatry
Georgia medical license or eligibility for licensure in the State of Georgia
Prefer demonstrated experience in Standardized Patient Program and academic activities that facilitate the success of all students in simulated clinical experiences
Preference will be given to individuals with prior teaching experience, and a background in case-based and active learning methods in small and large group settings.
Rank will be determined by experience
