First Connect Health is seeking a LPN / LVN Psychiatric for a travel job in Bronx, New York.

Title- LPN / LVN – Addiction Rehab (Days)

Facility name- BronxCare Life Recovery Center

Location- Bronx, NY 10456

Shift- Days or Night both shifts | 8-hour shifts

Contract : 13 weeks

Pay Term- Weekly (By Every Friday)

Benefits : Paid orientation & sick leave (13)

Pay Package :

Gross Weekly- $1,630 / week

Guaranteed Hours- 37.5hrs / week

Breakdown-

W2-$16 / hr

Stipend- $1030 / week

Job Description : Requirements

  • Experience : Minimum 1 year (Med-Surg experience strongly preferred)
  • License : Active LPN / LVN—OK to submit
  • Certifications Required :

    • BLS (AHA)

  • BronxCare De-escalation Training
  • Unit notes also list ACLS as required
  • Skills Needed :

    • Strong assessment of detox symptoms

  • Phlebotomy
  • EKG acquisition
  • Not Required : BSN, psych experience (preferred but not required)

    • Unit Information

  • Capacity : 23 patients
  • Patient Population : Adults (18+) rehabbing from substances (alcohol, crack cocaine, PCP, etc.)
  • Environment :

    • Voluntary unit with stable patients

  • Primarily counselor-run
  • RNs / LPNs handle admissions, medications, and medical issues
  • Nurse-Patient Ratio : No formal ratios
  • Common Processes :

    • No IVs unless emergency

  • No restraints (voluntary unit)
  • No techs on unit
  • No RT support
  • RNs perform EKGs if needed
  • Charting : Allscripts
  • Supervision :

    • PCM on-site during business hours

  • After hours : supervisor available by phone
