• What Were Looking For
• Experience with crisis work, assessments, or short-term treatment preferred
• Comfort working with clients across the lifespan (starting at age 5).
• Strong clinical judgment, empathy, and ability to stay grounded during escalated situations.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate clearly with a multi-disciplinary team.
• As a Crisis stabilization Therapist, your focus will be
• assessment, stabilization, and goal planning
• not long-term caseload management.
• Youll work closely with our Crisis Intervention Specialists and leadership to ensure each client receives supportive, trauma-informed care.
• Complete
• clinical assessments
• to determine appropriateness for crisis stabilization.
• Conduct
• daily check-ins
• with clients to support stabilization and safety.
• Partner with Crisis Intervention Specialists to create realistic, individualized goals for each clients 35 day stay.
• Communicate with families, guardians, and referral sources when appropriate.
• Complete required documentation (streamlined to minimize administrative burden).
• Participate in daily team huddles and collaborate with residential staff.
• Uphold ethical, professional, and culturally responsive standards.
• Requirements :
• Masters degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
• Current Iowa Licensure
• 35-year experience with therapy services
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time, use of computer and telephone systems which includes coordinator of eye and hand and fine manipulation by the hands (typing, writing, working with files).
• Requires talking, seeing, hearing, and reading; expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word, received, and communicated detailed information through oral communication, clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and at distance, must be able to read and understand text. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
• Must have the ability to understand and follow oral instruction, to understand and follow written instruction, to guide and / or give instruction, and to make decisions in accordance with established procedures and policies.
• Requires the ability to collect and analyze complex numerical and written date and verbal information to reach logical conclusions.
• Experience with MS Office
