Job Description : Merchandising Lead

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Merchandising Lead supervises and works alongside 2–8 Merchandising Specialists to ensure accurate and efficient execution of assigned merchandising projects. This role supports project readiness, maintains work quality standards, and assigns daily tasks while participating in hands-on execution. The Lead acts as the primary on-site point of support for direction, communication, and issue resolution. This position can require travel up to 100% of the time.
Requirements : RESPONSIBILITIES
- Arrive early to assist with prepping the store (pull / lay out schematics, identify issues, verify equipment, ensure readiness).
- Work side-by-side with project leadership to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient project execution.
- Take direction from leadership and reinforce instructions to assigned team members.
- Work neatly and ensure assigned departments / locations are left clean, organized, and shoppable.
- Assist in the completion of all assigned project activities.
- Assign tasks to 2–8 Merchandising Specialists, monitor performance, and support work execution.
- Provide on-the-floor coaching, problem-solving, and quality reinforcement to the team.
- Communicate updates, needs, and performance issues to project leadership as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years’ experience in merchandising within big box or warehouse-type stores.At least 1 year supervising or managing a team.Display a self-driven, positive attitude, integrity, and ability to work well in public settings.Maintain a professional appearance that complies with safety standards and client expectations.Valid email address and reliable phone for daily communication.Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance when applicable.Ability to read schematics, follow mapping processes, and explain them to others.Ability to safely handle light power tools and manual tools.Ability to stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, climb stairs / ladders, lift overhead, and walk / stand for 8 hours.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
