Registered Dental Hygienist - Lexington, SC

Job Type : Full time (Onsite)

Schedule : Monday to Friday - No weekends | No on-call

Job Summary :

We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to provide preventive and therapeutic dental care while educating patients and supporting efficient clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dental cleanings, periodontal assessments, fluoride treatments, and sealants
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
  • Take digital X-rays and assist with treatment planning
  • Conduct oral cancer screenings and maintain accurate medical histories
  • Administer local anaesthesia and nitrous oxide (as permitted by state regulations)
  • Utilize digital charting and modern dental equipment
  • Maintain infection control and sterilization standards
  • Provide a positive and comfortable patient experience
  • Collaborate effectively with the dentist and clinical team

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program
  • Current South Carolina state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist
  • Proficiency with digital imaging and dental software
  • Strong understanding of dental hygiene practices and oral health
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and patient-education skills
  • Attention to detail and accurate charting abilities
  • New graduates are welcome; 1-2 years of experience preferred but not required
