Operations Manager St. Johns MI

Salary Range : $108000 - $156000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in St. Johns that are seeking skilled Operations Managers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are met efficiently.
  • Implement and optimize production processes to enhance efficiency reduce waste and improve quality.
  • Manage train and develop the operations team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality standards regulatory compliance and safety protocols.
  • Monitor operational budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and logistics to optimize material flow and inventory management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing manufacturing operations and production teams.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a track record of team development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of production planning supply chain management and inventory control.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Business Administration or Operations Management.

    • Bonus Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with advanced ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Dynamics 365).
  • PMP or other recognized Project Management certification.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies and automation trends.
