About The Position

Job Title : Sterile Processing Technician Profession : Surgical Services Specialty : Sterile Processing Tech Duration : Temporary Position Shift : Day Hours per Shift : 8 hours (06 : 30 - 15 : 00) Experience : Minimum of 1 year required, 2 years preferred License : Not specified Certifications : - CRCST Certified Registered Central Service Technician - ORCSPDT Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - BLS AHA preferred in hand Must-Have : - Experience with Censitrac instrument tracking tool - Experience with Steris washers and sterilizers - Experience with VPRO max, ultrasonic equipment, and Medivators Description : The Sterile Processing Technician position is for Monday to Friday shifts from 06 : 30 to 15 : 00. The role requires 1 weekend call per month. Experience with handling cleaning equipment such as crash carts, IV pumps, and PCA pumps is necessary. High-level disinfection procedures need to be followed. Knowledge of sterilization wrapping procedures and proper selection of wrapping materials is essential. Experience in assembling sets and trays is required. Documentation of equipment must be accurately maintained. The technician will work with various departments including, but not limited to, Ear / Nose / Throat, Orthopedics, Plastics, and Urology. Knowledge of biological indicators, chemical indicators, steam sterilization testing, and immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS) is necessary. This position supports patients across various age groups including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily case census ranges from 25 to 30 cases per day.
