32.00 - 34.00 USD Per Hour

Working Location : Fresno CA

Working Hours / Shift :

NOC shift position Mon Tue Wed 18 : 00-06 : 30. $2 NOC Shift Differential

What you bring to SBHG :

High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED HiSET etc.) required

Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing graduation from an accredited school of psychiatric technology or associates degree in nursing or social sciences preferred.

One (1) year nursing experience required preferably treating the mentally ill in an inpatient setting. (Clinical nursing school rotations may be substituted for work experience)

One (1) year medication administration experience preferred.

A valid California LVN or LPT license is required.

How you will make a difference :

Visually and audibly observes documents in writing and reports orally or in writing the physical or mental condition to the Registered Nurse in charge of the facility on the shift and the attending physician.

Orders prepares administers and documents the administration of medication for clients according to physicians orders. Confirms delivery of all ordered medication from pharmacy on shift worked.

Responsible for writing daily summary of clients as assigned.

Attend and participate in morning rounds change of shift meetings and treatment team meetings as scheduled on the assignment sheet.

Makes written or oral shift assignments and plans organizes and directs the nursing activities of the unit assuring quality care delivery.

Provides other nursing duties including first aid and medical intervention within scope of licensure as necessary for each individual client.

Supports admission processes to ensure PHF beds remain full including reviewing admission packets and securing approval scheduling admissions and completing all required verifications & forms upon arrival in facility.

Psychiatric Health Facility :

24 / 7 inpatient involuntary program

16-bed facility for acute youth (ages 12-17)

Intensive treatment programs with individualized care plans

Available for contracting Central Valley counties

Moves clients through five phases : admission; engagement; learning; stabilization and linkage to resources and aftercare

In accordance with California law the grade for this position is 26.16 - 41.85. Placement within the grade is determined based on experience internal equity and other factors permitted by law.
