Bittersweet, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides residential, vocational, and recreational services to individuals with autism.

Bittersweet is seeking a  Part-time Direct Support Professional  to work  First shift  in our  Lima day program .

This position is a part time position working three days a week from 7 :

  • 30AM-4 : 15PM.
  • This position requires requires a valid driver's license & auto insurance.
  • Must have a clean driving record for the last three years.  Direct Support Professionals help enrich lives and make a difference while also providing you with valuable work experience.
  • Direct Support Professionals teach, mentor and positively impact the lives of individuals with disabilities through skills development.

Employee Benefits / Pay :

  • Starting wage from $16.50 - $17.00 an hour.
  • No Nights & No Weekends.

    • Responsibilities of Direct Support Professionals :

  • Provide person-centered supports which requires flexibility, creativity and commitment Work in partnership with participants Promote communication, choice, independence, socialization, and empowerment for the participants Skills of Direct Support Professionals : Possess and uses empathy in all actions and interactions Effectively work in teams with co-workers and participants Ability to express patience in difficult situations Ability to drive daily routes in our company vehicles and provide transportation for our participants REQUIREMENTS : High school Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License Valid Auto Insurance Clean Driving Record for the last three years.
  • Ability to pass physical / drug screen prior to start date.

    • Must be able to work from 7 :

  • 30AM -4 : 15PM.
