Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze daily MCA submissions to assess merchant creditworthiness, risk exposure, and funding eligibility.
- Evaluate bank statements, credit reports, business cash flow, payment history, and background reports (e.g., Clear, Unicourt).
- Conduct KYC / AML checks, verify ownership information, and confirm business legitimacy through corporate and public record databases.
- Assess existing funding positions, payment performance on submissions applying for funding
- Structure deals based on risk profiledetermining funding amounts, factor rates, terms, and withhold percentages.
- Identify red flags and fraud indicators such as cash manipulation, NSFs, circular deposits, or inconsistent statements.
- Communicate effectively with ISOs, brokers, and internal funding teams to clarify approvals, collect stips, and finalize approvals.
- Ensure credit policies and funding guidelines are consistently applied to every deal.
- Participate in portfolio reviews, loss analysis, and underwriting performance audits.
- Recommend process improvements, scoring enhancements, and data-driven adjustments to underwriting models.
- Maintain daily productivity, accuracy, and decision turnaround targets within service level expectations.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of MCA underwriting experience is a plus.Strong understanding of MCA deal structure, stacking dynamics, risk assessment, and bank statement analysis.Proficiency with CRM or underwriting systemsExcellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under deadlines.Strong communication and negotiation skills with ISOs and internal departments.Analytical thinker with sound judgment and ability to balance risk and opportunity.Bachelors degree in finance, business, or related field is required.Job Type : Full-time
