The Apprentice Field Service Engineer responsibilities will be to learn from the Senior Territory Manager, Territory Manager and Regional Service Manager the skills and knowledge to perform preventative maintenance, installs, technical troubleshooting & repair, and calibration of OEM medical devices or systems. This role will assist and learn to perform technical inspections and the documenting of and maintaining accurate records of inspections, repairs, calibrations, and work performed on all equipment. May be asked to perform service work remotely providing telephone, remote technical support, and remote diagnostics to external healthcare customers and filed partners to resolve customer equipment issues and initiate escalations, if appropriate. This position is to be based in the northeast, in either the New York or New Jersey area.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Learn from and work with the Senior Territory Managers, Territory Managers and RSM's and complete all assigned tasks.
• Participate in classes and informal training in the local area or offsite.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and unplanned maintenance and perform any required equipment upgrades as assigned.
• Install and de-install OEM equipment, performing site inspections and / or interacting with customers and contractors as needed.
• Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through service excellence.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of records of all installations and deinstallations, repairs and maintenance and of all regulatory compliance paperwork required.
• Complete Expense reports and submit them within the established guidelines of the department.
