PlannerProject Manager, Transportation focused

AECOMs  Environmental Planning and Permitting team is growing in Northern California! We are seeking an experienced  Planner / Project Manager - Transportation focused  candidate to join our team.

This hybrid role can be based out of our Oakland Sacramento San Francisco or San Jose CA offices.

AECOM is seeking candidates with a demonstrated ability to manage tasks on environmental planning and compliance projects successfully interface with clients apply sound business development strategies and prepare proposals and deliverables that respond to our clients needs.

The successful candidate would join our multi-disciplinary team to engage with our expanding pool of public and private sector clients manage task orders within large environmental planning programs and coordinate with our team and subcontractors to complete environmental compliance processes and documentation. The candidate will primarily lead environmental clearance and compliance work on roadway transportation and other infrastructure projects. Work will include interaction with senior project managers and task leaders; client staff; and representatives from cities counties and local regional state and federal agencies. May serve as a project manager deputy project manager task manager or technical specialist depending on the project assignment.

Key responsibilities include :

• Lead environmental planning and compliance work and support the development of environmental documents and studies in compliance with CEQA NEPA and other state and federal environmental regulations.
• Project oversight authority and accountability. Oversee multiple projects simultaneously within scope / budget / schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables. Manage subconsultants and technical staff.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop work programs designed to provide innovative and progressive project solutions.
• Prepare effective technical and cost proposals and take an active role in the development of new business with new and existing clients. Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.
• Provide leadership in mentoring personnel.
