SCOPE OF POSITION:
Acting as an organizational resource, this position provides clinical, educational and professional support for the evening/night nursing staff.This position, which requires advanced /expert clinical nursing skill and knowledge, will enhance clinical support for patients, with, or potential for, physiological instability.Will serve as a resource and role model to staff in professional practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Performs as a clinical expert/resource to maintain and improve nursing practice on the evening/night shift
·Support hospital-wide initiatives through designing and implementing education and communication to assigned staff
·Identifies and communicates clinical competency issues to the appropriate Clinical Director
·Facilitate efficient on-going care on units, participating in special functions as needed.Assists in short term crisis' that include, but are not limited to Code 3, Rapid Responses, Trauma Alerts, ICU transport for radiological procedures and troubleshooting equipment
