About the role

Anza Mortgage Insurance is seeking a Mortgage Operational Risk Specialist to collaborate with our Risk Management team. This intermediate-level role plays a key role in supporting the Director of Operational Risk.

The ideal candidate will have a background in the mortgage industry, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, good written and verbal communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment and a passion for operational precision. This role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to help maintain and continuously improve Anza’s operational risk framework.

What you'll do

• Assist the Director of Operational Risk in monitoring, assessing and reporting on operational risk across the organization.
• Run, analyze and summarize operational and performance reports to help identify emerging trends, gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare materials and documentation for risk reviews, audits and management reporting.
• Assist in the coordination and execution of lender risk reviews, ensuring adherence to established timelines and deliverables.
• Maintain accurate and organized tracking systems to support ongoing monitoring activities.
• Become an expert on ordering and reviewing third party vendor reports.
• Respond to time-sensitive requests with a strong sense of urgency, accuracy and professionalism.
