Salary : $14 - $17 per hour
Position Overview :
This position requires reliable transportation. Floater will assist between both locations (Maple Center and Sorensen Center.)
Shift 9 : 30AM - 5 : 30PM (Monday - Friday)
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist multiple classrooms on an as needed basis
- Assist Lead Classroom teacher with completing homework sheets for each child for the purpose of parental communication
- Assist children with homework and activities
- Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games, and crafts
- Assist Lead classroom teacher with keeping the classrooms orderly with all supplies available and ready for homework or activity time
- Organize and store toys and materials to ensure that classroom is neat
- Perform housekeeping duties such as cleaning your classroom :
- Make sure all tables are clean
- Shelves are orderly and dusted
- Desk is clean and organized
- Classroom is mopped once a week
- Make sure bathrooms and kitchen are cleaned and mopped on your assigned day
- Support childrens emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts
- Maintain Accountability :
- Such as caring for own belongings (books, bags, jackets)
- Assist Lead Classroom Teacher as needed with weekly and monthly assignments
- Observe students daily during recess
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) or related field with child development coursework.CPR Certification (preferred).Child Development Associate (CDA)preferredAt least 3 years of experience in Early Childhood EducationSkills and knowledge anyone working in the early childhood field would have.Maintain scheduled work hours but be flexible in rescheduling hours to meet centers needsAbility to work with ManagementPersonal Qualities :
