RN Long Term Acute Care LTAC

Position Overview :

The Long-Term Acute Care Registered Nurse provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care to medically complex patients in a long-term acute setting. This role is closer to a hospital step-down unit than traditional LTC.

Location : Select Specialty Hospital - Aurora West Allis, Milwaukee County, WI

Pay : $1,980 / week (Local) | $2,188 / week (Travel)

Contract Details :

Duration : 13 weeks (opportunity to extend)

Shift : Nights, 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM

Schedule : 3x12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend

Responsibilities :

Deliver high-quality care to patients requiring vents, trachs, drips, and wound care

Monitor and manage medically complex patients

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes

Maintain compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards

Minimum Requirements :

Active RN license in Wisconsin

1.5+ years recent LTACH or ICU experience

Experience with vents, trachs, drips, and wound care

Current CPR certification

TB / PPD or chest X-ray

Experience in acute rehabilitation for vents, wound care,cardiac, and stable post trauma patients

Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
