Responsibilities

What youll do...

This development team that is evolving our ability to sign off durability analytically. As such success in this position is not defined only by deliverables but also your creativity in developing a better way forward for Ford Motor Company.

This team is made up of many different skill sets and while you would be one of the experts in Durability FEA there is opportunity for you to grow your expertise in MBD data analytics validation and customer usage characterization.

What else youll do...

You would be bringing an expertise that is thin within our department. As such your impact to open workstreams will be immediate and apparent.

• Proactively analyze vehicle designs and system interfaces to identify potential durability NVH or vehicle dynamics issues before they arise.
• Utilize basic physics principles and CAE loadcases to evaluate and prove out identified design weaknesses and potential failure modes.
• Collaborate with design engineering and manufacturing teams to understand system requirements and identify critical interaction points.
• Develop and propose creative design solutions and countermeasures to mitigate identified risks and improve overall vehicle performance and robustness.
• Conduct thorough root cause analysis for identified issues distilling complex problems into understandable insights.

This position is asalary grade range 7-8.
