[job_card.job_description]Extensive knowledge of US Army and / or USAF and / or USN aircraft maintenance, logistic systems, planning, quality control and supervisory policies, principles, procedures and techniques ISO 9001 / AS9100 / 9110 Lead Auditor certification preferred; knowledge of quality management system requirements, safety standards and general experience in dealing with environmental issues. Working knowledge of analytical methodology, statistical process control and continual process improvement. Familiarity with aviation support services, logistics, information technology, training services, supply chain management, acquisition, and facilities and equipment maintenance for a variety of rotorcraft aircraft. Ability to develop and present senior staff-level briefings and management reports. Demonstrated experience with process improvement approaches and change management. Bachelor's Degree in quality, aeronautical, business management, or engineering. Masters desired. Ten (10) years progressively responsible experience in related field; preferred in military planning and operations. Able to obtain / maintain security clearance as required by PWS. Comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance and quality control procedures in an Army aviation environment. Must possess competent computer skills. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Must be able to moves about both inside aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within close proximity of running equipment and aircraft.
Position Description :
- Responsible for managing and implementing the company Quality Plan across the FT Rucker Aviation Maintenance Services contract IAW the PWS and ISO 9001 / AS9110 QMS.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease cycle time and streamline work flow processes.
- Develops and sustains a culture of safety, quality compliance, and professionalism.
- Ensures 100% safe, on time, properly configured, reliable aircraft to perform missions in accordance with the PWS.
- Provides technical guidance to maintenance personnel performing aircraft maintenance.
- Ensures compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and company policies relating to aircraft maintenance operations.
- Ensures sufficient manpower, technical data, tools and equipment are available for planned work and shift coverage.
- Monitors attendance, approves timecards, assigns overtime.
- Applies Company policy and procedures pertaining to the promotion, training, discipline, and termination of employees.
Ensures employees possess the qualifications and certifications necessary to perform their jobs.
Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude.
