Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) is seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurosurgery team in San Francisco, California. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a nationally recognized group of neurosurgeons and advanced practice clinicians providing comprehensive, patient-centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

About the Opportunity :

As part of a leading neuroscience program, you'll support patients through all phases of care - from clinic visits and telehealth consultations to pre- and post-operative management. The position will primarily focus on outpatient care, with opportunities for inpatient exposure to promote a well-rounded clinical experience and growth in neurosurgical practice.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide patient care in the ambulatory setting, including new and follow-up appointments
• Conduct telehealth visits through the Epic platform
• Manage inbox messages for the neurosurgery department and assist with triage of referrals
• Communicate effectively with inpatient teams to ensure continuity of care
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic studies in accordance with physician care plans
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and provide patient / family education
• Maintain accountability for clinical quality, safety, and experience goals
• Collaborate directly with neurosurgeons and advanced practice colleagues
