FLSA Status : Exempt Full -Time

Summary

The Water Oversight & Landscape Quality Control Specialist supports the long-term performance and sustainability of desert-adapted landscapes throughout the Verrado. This role focuses on monitoring water usage, assessing irrigation system efficiency, and identifying plant health needs unique to the Sonoran climate. Through routine inspections and data-driven evaluations, the specialist ensures landscapes remain resilient in extreme heat and drought conditions.

Phoenix presents unique landscape challenges—including extreme heat, drought conditions, soil variability, and strict municipal water regulations—making this a vital role in supporting water conservation and long-term landscape performance.

Working closely with internal teams, irrigation technicians, and contractors, the specialist coordinates corrective actions and verifies that all work meets high standards of safety, quality, and regional compliance. The role also documents field findings, tracks improvements, and recommends enhancements that strengthen water efficiency and ongoing landscape performance.

By upholding the Cohere’s commitment to responsible resource management, the specialist contributes directly to sustainable outdoor environments that serve the community. This position helps establish consistent landscape quality while supporting long-term environmental stewardship.

  • Comfortable embracing new technologies, landscape inspection tools, and digital reporting systems
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in both technical irrigation issues and field-related challenges
  • Strong attention to detail in documenting site conditions, reporting findings, and verifying work completion
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and willingness to recommend innovative water conservation and landscape enhancement strategies
  • Ability to balance short-term field needs with long-term landscape planning and sustainability goals
  • Capacity to work independently in the field while maintaining strong communication and alignment with team members
  • Dependable work ethic, particularly in managing field inspections across varied weather conditions, including extreme heat
  • Professional and positive demeanor when coordinating with teams and representing landscape standards to stakeholders
