Parking Enforcement Officer

Pay Rate : $18.60 per hour

Job Summary : We are looking for a reliable and professional Parking Enforcement Officer. The successful candidate will play a key role in enforcing parking regulations and restrictions on foot for the City of Chicago. Strong willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain. The ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods.

Principal Job Duties :

• Patrol Assigned Areas : Enforce parking regulations and restrictions on foot.
• Team and Independent Work : Operate independently or with a team member, reporting to a field supervisor.
• Issue Citations : Generate written and / or computer-based parking citations, and transfer citation data to a centralized system.
• Customer Complaints : Resolve customer complaints in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Special Event Support : Provide enforcement support for events involving the Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Bears, and other city events as requested.
• Outdoor Work : Work outdoors for entire shifts (6-8 hours) in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, and heat.
