IHA and St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor (SJMAA) have an excellent full time opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurology physician who is Fellowship trained in Critical Care to join a well-known and growing practice located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Â
The selected candidate will be supporting the care of patients admitted to SJMAA. SJMAA cares for complex, critically ill patients in a MICU, SICU, and CCU. These ICUs care for patients not only with stroke but also cerebral hemorrhage, subdural hemorrhage, postoperative Neurosurgical patients, status epilepticus, ALS, Myasthenic crisis, etc. The selected candidate will be asked to participate in the care of these patients, either as a consultant or as the leader of the primary team. In addition, the selected candidate will be asked to be the work within a multidisciplinary stroke team in a single location, hospital-based practice.Â
St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor is growing a Neuroscience Service Line with the goal of becoming a Neuroscience Center of Excellence. In addition, SJMAA is currently part of the Michigan Stroke Network, one of the largest Telemedicine Networks in the region, providing more than 15 hospitals with Telemedicine services. The hospital has committed to having more primary interventional care provided locally and has recently recruited a group of Vascular Neuro-interventional physicians to help support this care.Â
Through the recruitment of outstanding physicians and staff, acquisition of sophisticated equipment and the development of new programs, neuroscience care at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor has grown into a nationally recognized stroke center providing comprehensive care.
