Schedule Details : 3rd Shift, including 8 and 12-hour shifts, with every third weekend rotation and holiday rotation.

Unit Overview : Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, where you'll care for a diverse and complex patient population :
Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Care for patients experiencing hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program.Manage a high volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, along with medical overflow cases.What You'll Do :

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement individualized care while involving the patient and family in the process.Anticipate and recognize changes in patient conditions, taking appropriate actions and collaborating with healthcare team members.Implement strategies to improve patient safety and education tailored to patient readiness and needs.Coordinate discharge plans using an interdisciplinary approach and apply evidence-based practices.Evaluate patient care outcomes and support quality improvement initiatives.Demonstrate strong communication and conflict resolution skills while promoting collaboration among the healthcare team.Identify and intervene to prevent patient safety risks and report any issues promptly.Engage in professional development activities and maintain required competencies.Licensure and Certification Required :
Registered Nurse license for the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Education and Experience Required :
Completion of an accredited nursing program.Typically requires at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Knowledge and Skills :
Demonstrated ability to provide holistic patient care and recognize situations needing intervention.Proficient computer skills and effective communication abilities.Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients, families, and team members.Critical decision-making skills and the ability to manage time effectively.Physical Requirements :
