Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a day shift Oncology unit position requiring chemotherapy certification and a CT or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in an Oncology unit within a short-term acute care hospital
  • Level II Trauma Center with a total of 426 staffed beds
  • Day shifts are 4x12 hours from 07 : 00 to 19 : 30
  • Every other weekend coverage required
  • Floating to other Med / Surg units may be required
  • Electronic charting performed in Epic; Epic experience preferred
  • Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel position
  • Returning permanent staff must have a two-year separation before being considered as a traveler
  • Facility can automatically approve up to 7 days of requested time off
  • Flu vaccine required with no exceptions; COVID-19 vaccine and booster required unless qualified for medical or religious exemption
  • Travelers may be required to participate in emergency or natural disaster response
  • Free parking is available onsite

    • Requirements

  • Current CT or compact RN license required
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Chemotherapy certification required
  • Recent experience in an Oncology setting preferred
  • Experience using Epic EMR preferred
  • Must not have any prior disciplinary actions on nursing license
