• 7 Administering Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops / Citrix DaaS and / or Azure Virtual Desktop.
• 7 Networking fundamentals : TCP / IP, subnets / VLANs, DNS, load balancing, plus hands-on with ACLs and firewall rule management.
• 7 Proficiency with PowerShell and familiarity with infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• 7 Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting across Citrix / AVD, Windows Server, and network layers.
• 7 Ability to write clear technical documentation and operate within TxDOT change and incident management processes.
• 7 Administering Windows Server in enterprise environments (AD, GPO, DNS / DHCP, file / print, patching / updates).

As a Citrix Administrator at TxDOT, you will manage and optimize the Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop environments, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable virtual desktop services. This includes administering Citrix / AVD components, maintaining and hardening Windows Server systems, and applying networking fundamentals such as ACLs and firewall rules. You'll automate processes with PowerShell, monitor performance using Citrix and Azure tools, and troubleshoot issues across infrastructure layers. Additionally, you'll enforce TxDOT security and compliance standards, document procedures, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless end-user experience.
