What does a Heavy Equipment Mechanic do?

As a Full-Time Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Tank's Recycling and Landfill, you will have the exciting opportunity to travel between various sites in Tucson, working on a diverse range of heavy equipment and machinery. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining essential equipment such as wood grinders, excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, and over-the-road commercial vehicles. Required Certification

A Heavy Equipment Mechanic certification from CAT, John Deere, or an accredited trade school is required.

• Must have experience with :
• all types of construction equipment
• working in the field
• high and low speed grinders
• recycling equipment
• over the road commercial vehicles
• strong troubleshooting skills with hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems
• competent at welding (stick and wire) and hard surfacing of wear parts
