Human Resources Business Partner

Location : Onsite in Lenexa, KS

Employment Type : Full Time – Direct Hire

We are seeking a hands-on Human Resources Business Partner to support day-to-day HR operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for executing key HR functions including employee relations, recruiting, payroll, benefits, compliance, and HR systems administration. The position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and works closely with employees and supervisors across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer daily HR activities including onboarding, employee relations, and offboarding
• Process weekly payroll accurately and maintain HRIS data integrity
• Support benefits administration and assist employees with benefits-related questions
• Manage employee leave programs (FMLA, short-term disability, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Coordinate performance review timelines and support managers throughout the process
• Maintain employee files and confidential records in accordance with company policy
• Partner with supervisors and managers to maintain a positive, safe, and compliant workplace
• Assist with safety reporting, workers’ compensation claims, and employee engagement initiatives
• Coordinate training sessions and track completion in the Learning Management System (LMS)

Work Environment

This position is based in an office located within a manufacturing facility. Occasional time on the factory floor is required, with adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
