Every third weekend and holiday rotation required. Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections. Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries. Patients experiencing hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program . A high volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, along with medical overflow cases . Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based patient care using the nursing process. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for safe, therapeutic, and compassionate care. Apply skilled communication and critical thinking to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Contribute to a positive patient experience along the continuum of care. Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs, plan interventions, and evaluate care effectiveness in collaboration with patients and families. Coordinate discharge plans with an interdisciplinary approach. Evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes and take action as necessary. Engage in professional development and mentorship opportunities. Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific patient needs and provide appropriate care. Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). Completion of an accredited nursing program. At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred. Ability to provide holistic patient care with a patient and family focus. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills. Proficient in electronic medical records and communication tools. Excellent interpersonal skills for building rapport with patients and team members. Organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills. Able to manage time effectively in a dynamic environment. Skilled in coordination, collaboration, and team-building. Must be able to frequently sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach, and twist. Able to lift up to 50 lbs., lift 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. Must perform pushes / pulls with 30 lbs. of force. May be exposed to chemicals, hazardous waste, blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases; appropriate protective gear is required. Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch are required, along with fine motor skills for procedures. Able to operate required equipment.
