Role Summary
The Healthcare Construction Superintendent is pivotal in planning, managing, and executing complex project activities. You will oversee the management of materials and equipment, support people management, and ensure complete project documentation, facilitating timely and profitable project delivery in alignment with JE Dunn's core values.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and champion a culture of safety, ensuring an injury-free work environment through personal commitment and mentoring.
- Effectively manage subcontractors and supervise project workflows.
- Lead company staff, subcontractors, and programs such as Safety and Quality for projects.
- Develop and implement tailored work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
- Ensure meticulous management of the project site, including care, custody, and control.
- Facilitate daily standup meetings and weekly trade discussions to foster communication.
- Attend and actively contribute to project meetings, including Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) engagements.
- Create and manage project schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Assist in monitoring project budgets and costs, ensuring alignment with financial targets using management systems.
- Effectively communicate project details to all stakeholders, including owners and subcontractors.
- Maintain organized project documentation and keep all necessary records and logs current.
- Assess progress and adjust work plans as necessary to meet project goals.
- Manage material and equipment needs proficiently.
- Support procurement processes related to materials and costs.
- Participate in the selection of tools and equipment for self-perform operations.
- Oversee accurate timecard reporting and cost coding to maintain financial integrity.
- Ensure project quality standards are met through established compliance checks.
- Assist in project closeout processes, coordinating effectively with all parties.
- Help build field staffing that meets project requirements.
- Collaborate with project management to adjust schedules and budgets in response to project changes.
- Engage actively in project negotiations with stakeholders.
- Contribute to project review meetings and presentations.
- Take part in subcontractor and vendor buyout meetings.
- Understand and apply terms from contracts relevant to each project.
- Actively seek and recruit top talent to strengthen our team.
- Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within the organization.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years in construction, with 3 years in field supervision required; familiarity with Lean principles is preferred.
Working Environment
- A valid and unrestricted driver's license is necessary.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to travel and/or relocate as needed.
- Possible exposure to extreme weather conditions.
- Availability for non-traditional hours as project demands require.
- Frequent activities include standing, walking, climbing, and bending.
- Occasional tasks may involve sitting and computer work.
