West Virginia Orthopedic NP / PA position

This is an Orthopedic NP / PA locums to perm position with Boone Memorial Hospital in Madison, WV. If you are interested in being considered for this opportunity apply or contact me directly.

Clinic hours, 8 to 4. 8 to 5 8 : 30 to 4 : 30 Monday through Friday.

Expected volumes up to 16 to 20 in a day.

Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and safety in the

operating room.

Collaborate with the orthopedic surgeon and interdisciplinary team to develop and

implement treatment plans.

Provide patient education and support, addressing questions and concerns related to

orthopedic conditions and treatments.

Manage patient care independently during periods when the surgeon is off-campus,

maintaining open communication and consulting with the surgeon as needed.

Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings to discuss patient cases and

optimize care delivery.

Contribute to the advancement of orthopedic practice through participation in quality

improvement initiatives and research projects.

Requirements

Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

Certification as an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner (ONP-C) or Orthopedic Physician

Assistant (PA-C) preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in orthopedics, with proficiency in both surgical and

non-surgical management of orthopedic conditions.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate

effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments in a fast-

paced environment.

Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate patient care needs, including inpatient consult

Valid West Virginia state medical license or IMLC letter of Qualification. (will you wait for

a license?)
